It is just so hard to know where to get a book that will tell you what you want to know. Most of the following have been suggested by members of the MuddlePuddle List, so you know they are going to be related to the early years age group - others have come from lists I am on relating to Charlotte Mason and Montessori or indeed home education. I hope you get something worthwhile from them. Buying them through the Amazon Link will help with the upkeep of the site and your support is appreciated! I will create individual links as soon as I can but in the meantime a search box is located half way down the page. If you have suggestions for books that could be added to this list, please send them to MuddlePuddleBooks Montessori Basic Montessori: Learning Activities for Under-Fives; David Gettmen - in my humble oopinion, just the best early years Montessori book around! Punished by Rewards; Alfie Kohn Still teaching ourselves; Agnes Leistico.. a daily/monthly/ account of one family's experience Do Not Disturb; Deborah Jackson - This isn't an education book, but I think most of what she has to say about letting children get on with things, is relevant to their learning. Three in a bed; Deborah Jackson - I loved this; it helped me feel much better about our anxieties over bed sharing and made the progression from all together to separate both gentle and relaxed.
