This is a new section intended to pull together several facets of my eldest daughters current interests plus the fact that i am doing an OU course in World Religion this year and felt it would be nice to bring my interests and my girlies interests in line if i can.
She is fascinated by flags, loves speaking words of french and is very interested in an ABSOLUTELY fabulous CDROM -DK's WORLD EXPLORER
So - that brings us to this section - it will grow all year - and any contributions would be brilliant - accounts of living in a particular religion or country or help with translating words for children into different languages would be fantastic.
We are going to follow a meandering path around the world prompted by different cultural celebrations - the ones we choose will only be based on what grabs us at the time rather than a value judgement of any sort. It is vital to me that i bring my three girls up to be tolerant and knowledgeable of all cultures - in these turbulent times it strikes me as the only way of promoting peace in the future - interest, understanding and acceptance is the key.
